"We just stayed at this hotel for a trip to SF and it was fantastic! Very reasonably priced compared to the $250-400 SF prices. Short drive into downtown SF. The pool was warm. The bed was so comfortable. And the Town Plaza down the road was adorable and worth the trip for some food and shopping... Everyone complains on her about the A.C., but it's not very hot there. So with the portable A.C. and the fan, we were completely comfortable... The staff was friendly and the continental breakfast was better then most. I'd definitely suggest this hotel to anyone looking for a SF trip away from the high prices and busy traffic."

"Great place for family of 4 staying 4 nights ... no central a/c but fans and great weather made it totally do-able. Water pressure made showering invigorating. Nice free buffet breakfast - just enough to get your day started."

"My husband and I spent two nights at Marin Suites. We were immediately impressed with the friendly and courteous young man who checked us in. He provided great suggestions on things to see as well as restaurants in the area. Our room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. We did not realize there was no air conditioning, so we had to sleep with the windows open which was rather noisy. The breakfast buffet was very good, and the pool area and outdoor seating was charming. We would definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back to this area."

"We stayed at the Marin Suites Hotel since we needed a place close to SF since we were staying there but everything in the city was fully booked. We were a bit worried when we figured out the location of the hotel, but it turned out to be a great surprise and way beyond a classical motel. Pool: The pool was very nice, open 9am-10pm, clean and even featured aid for disabled to enter and exit the poolRooms: Room was HUGE and featured a kitchen, very comfortable bed, but the bathroom was a bit small (especially in comparison to the room). All facilities were clean Other plus: 2 BBQ facilities available for guest use and a nice relax area (even featuring a cheminee)Breakfast: Breakfast was included in the room rate and it was the best motel breakfast I EVER had. The buffet featured: Waffles, cinnamon rolls and other pastries, all kinds of breads/toast/english muffins/bagles, Juice, Coffee, granola. Only thing missing! was fresh fruit, but really there was nothing to complain about. There is also a mall with food and shopping facilities around the corner. Drive to SF is roughly 15 minutes. Would recommend to people who do not necessarily have to stay in the city center of SF."

"My wife and I wanted a place to stay near downtown SFO and near Sears Point Raceway, and it needed to be not only affordable but pet-friendly as well! What a tall order, eh? I checked with the area Hampton Inn, which I'm sure would have been fine, but they growled when they heard of our dog.Marin Suites delivered!Excellent property. Friendly staff, well-maintained, A converted large apartment complex that is now a hotel. Includes coin-operated laundry on site. Seems like it's not a hidden-gem. It sells-out pretty much every night. We were really surprised, so you'll want to book early."

"Recently I booked into Marin Suites for 7 nights on business: I spent a week-end with 2 key personnel before leaving as they started a 5 day class in nearby Mill Valley. The hotel was perfect for our purposes: 2 bedroom, one bath with kitchen and large living room, a great inner courtyard with pool and hot tub, terrific location next to a nice strip mall with bookstore, yoga studio and good bistro-style restaurant. MS is a good value. It's also within 5 minutes of some malls with all the stores a shopper wants. We especially enjoyed the courtyard and the care they took each evening to create a lovely atmosphere with candles and lights. There were grills, a fire pit, and plenty of areas for different groups to have their own conversations. Friendly well-mannered crowd of travelers from the area, the U.S. and international. Though I often stay in luxury hotels, this was exactly right for our situation and we ! even enjoyed not having to tip every time we moved about! Also great location for Muir Woods (get there early), Stinson Beach and time spent in SF. Airport about 45 - 60 minutes even with heavy, moving traffic. About 15 - 20 mins to the Golden Gate with traffic moving, which it was each time we made the trip. The only downside was the noise of the freeway in our bedrooms, but we solved it completely by creating white noise with the portable heater/airconditioner in our room. Where to find the elevators was also a bit confusing for most guests, didn't seem well-posted. Would recommend and stay here again."
